Who we are

The Cosmic Key with Chitra Jain is the professional name of Chitra Jain, an individual practitioner based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Postal address: Bengaluru, Karnataka 560040. Chitra Jain is responsible for the personal information you share through this website.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, book a consultation or contact us, we collect:

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
• Birth details, where your consultation needs them: your date, time and place of birth, and those of anyone else you ask us to include, such as a partner.
• Your questions and messages: what you would like to explore and anything else you choose to tell us.
• About you and your wellbeing, if you choose to share it: your age, what you are going through, feelings or patterns you notice, and any past healing or coaching. These answers can be sensitive. They are optional and are seen only by Chitra.
• Scheduling details: your timezone, when you are usually free, and your booking history with us.
• Payment records: the amount, date and status of any payment. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment provider, Razorpay, and are never seen or stored by us.

The questions you bring to a consultation can be personal and may touch on health, relationships or finances. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

• respond to your enquiry and arrange your consultation;
• prepare for and hold your consultation;
• send confirmations, calendar invitations, reminders and follow-ups about your booking;
• process payments and refunds, and keep the accounting records the law requires;
• answer your questions and complaints.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we never sell or rent it to anyone. We will only send you marketing messages if you have clearly asked to receive them.

Your consent

By submitting an enquiry or booking, you consent to us using your information as described in this policy. We keep a record of the date and time you agreed. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing hello@thecosmickeywithchitrajain.com. If you do, we will stop using your information, except where we must keep records by law, and we may not be able to continue providing consultations.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers we need to run this website and deliver your consultation:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and its database;
• Google, for calendar invitations and Google Meet video sessions;
• our email delivery provider, to send booking emails and reminders;
• Razorpay, to process payments and refunds.

These providers may store or process information outside India. Each is bound by its own privacy and security commitments. We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.

Sessions are not recorded

Consultations are not recorded, by us or by you. Chitra may keep private notes to help with any follow-up consultations.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
• Consultation records and notes: up to 3 years after your last consultation, so we can help you in future sessions.
• Payment and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct or complete information that is wrong or out of date;
• delete your information;
• withdraw your consent.

Children

Our consultations are for adults aged 18 or over. A parent or legal guardian may book a consultation for a child and must give consent on the child's behalf.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The admin area uses one cookie to keep its administrator signed in. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your device's IP address when the page loads.

Security

We use secure (HTTPS) connections, keep access to your information limited to the people who need it, and rely on established providers to store it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.

Complaints and grievance officer

If you have a concern about how your information is handled, please contact our grievance officer, Chitra Jain, at hello@thecosmickeywithchitrajain.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
