October 2025 tarot guidance: health, love, career and abundance

10-Oct-2025

At the start of October 2025 I drew four tarot cards for the month ahead, one for each area of life people ask me about most: health, love and relationships, career, and abundance. Later in the month I added a two-card reading for the weekend of 10 October.

This post is an archive of that guidance. The month has passed, but tarot cards describe energies and lessons rather than fixed events, so you can still use each card as a mirror whenever that area of your life needs attention.

How to read a monthly spread

A general monthly reading is drawn for everyone who reads it, not for you personally. Treat it like a weather report: it describes the climate, and you decide what to wear. Read the card for the area that matters most to you right now, notice what it stirs in you, and keep what is useful.

Health: 5 of Wands

The four cards for the month were:

  1. Health: 5 of Wands
  2. Love and relationships: Ace of Wands
  3. Career: 7 of Pentacles
  4. Abundance: 4 of Swords

The 5 of Wands shows five figures waving their staffs at one another. It is the card of friction, competing demands and scattered energy. For health, it is a reminder that stress has a physical cost. When everything pulls at you at once, your body often feels it first: tight shoulders, poor sleep, low energy.

How to use it now: notice where you are fighting on too many fronts. Choose one daily habit that calms the system, such as a walk, a regular bedtime or a few minutes of slow breathing, and protect it. Please see a doctor for anything that worries you; a card can point to stress, but it cannot diagnose.

Love and relationships: Ace of Wands

The Ace of Wands is a spark: new passion, fresh attraction, the beginning of something alive. In love, it can mean a new connection, or new warmth in an existing one. The energy is there, but an ace is only a seed. It needs you to act on it.

The affirmations for this card were:

  • I open my heart for a loyal and unconditional love in my life.
  • I accept a companionship and attract a compatible partner easily and wholeheartedly.

If you are wondering whether your heart is open to someone new, my post on whether you are ready for love may help.

Career: 7 of Pentacles

The 7 of Pentacles shows a gardener leaning on a hoe, looking at the plants he has grown. It is the card of patience and review. You have put in effort; the harvest is coming but is not here yet. The question it asks is: is this still the right thing to be growing?

How to use it now: take stock of where your time and skills are going. Keep tending what is working, and be honest about what is not. The affirmations for this card were:

  • I am always appreciated for my professional skills at work and earn more than I expected.
  • I am so worthy that the universe works in my favour and my growth is unstoppable.

Abundance and wellbeing: 4 of Swords

The 4 of Swords is the card of rest, retreat and recovery. A figure lies still, swords hung on the wall above. It might seem an odd card for abundance, but it carries an important message: you do not attract more by running faster. Rest restores the clarity you need to recognise good opportunities when they arrive.

The affirmations for this card were:

  • I am so lucky and blessed with a healthy, wealthy and happy life. I am so grateful to the universe for giving me everything good, more than I ever imagined.
  • I always receive all kinds of abundance at the right time in my life. I am so blessed.

Affirmations for the month's energies

Affirmations work best when you choose one or two that genuinely move you, rather than reciting all of them. Say them slowly in the morning or before sleep, in the present tense, and notice how your body responds. If one feels false, soften it until it feels possible.

Weekend insights: 3 of Pentacles

For the weekend of 10 October 2025 I drew two cards and read each one for health, abundance, love and career. The first was the 3 of Pentacles, the card of teamwork and skilled work. Three people stand together in a cathedral, each bringing something different to the same project.

  • Health: support helps. A coach, a walking partner or simply a shared plan makes good habits easier.
  • Abundance: collaboration and good craft bring results.
  • Love: a relationship is built together, with each person contributing.
  • Career: your skills are being noticed; it is a good time to work with others rather than alone.

Weekend insights: 10 of Swords

The second card was the 10 of Swords. It looks dramatic, but its meaning is gentler than it appears: it marks the end of a painful cycle. Something has hit its lowest point, and the only way from here is up. Notice the sunrise on the horizon in most decks.

  • Health: release the fear and exhaustion you have been carrying, and allow recovery.
  • Abundance: an old block around money can end here, if you let it.
  • Love: stop replaying old hurts; the story is over.
  • Career: a difficult chapter closes, making space for a new one.

What a general reading is not

A monthly or weekend spread is guidance for reflection, not a prediction carved in stone, and it is not personal to your chart or your circumstances. It does not replace medical, financial or legal advice.

If you'd like a reading of your own

A general spread can only go so far. If one of these cards struck a chord and you want to know what it means for your life, you can book a tarot reading or send me a message first.
