Tarot guidance for your kind of work: business owners, job holders, coaches, homemakers and students

11-Aug-2026

We all carry different kinds of pressure. A business owner worries about cash flow, someone in a job worries about their manager, a homemaker carries the moods of the whole family, and a student carries exams and expectations. A single collective reading can't speak to all of these at once, so for the week of 10 to 16 August 2026 I made a series: one tarot reading for each kind of work.

This post is the archive of that series. Each section says who the reading was for, what the role tends to need, and how you can still use it.

How to use a reading for your profession

  1. Go to the section that matches your main role today. If you wear two hats, read both.
  2. Watch or read it as a reflection: "What is this showing me about how I work?"
  3. Pick one thing to do differently this week, and keep it small.

I closed each reading with Om Namah Shivay, a mantra of surrender to Shiva, the destroyer of what no longer serves. You may like to say it three times before you start your working day.

Business owners and entrepreneurs

The first part of the series was for business owners and entrepreneurs. Running your own business means carrying every decision: money, people, risk and vision. The energy you bring to work often becomes the energy of the business itself.

Using it now: before a big decision, sit for two minutes and ask, "Am I choosing from fear or from clarity?" Then check the numbers, and take advice from an accountant or adviser where money or legal matters are involved.

The service and job sector

The second part was for people in jobs and the service sector. Here the challenges are often about recognition, workplace relationships, growth and knowing when to stay and when to move on.

Using it now: write down one skill you want to be known for in a year's time, and one conversation that would help you get there. Have that conversation this month.

Coaches, teachers and gurus

The third reading was for those who guide others: coaches, teachers, mentors and gurus. People in these roles give a great deal of energy away. The risk is that they forget to refill their own cup, or carry their students' problems home.

Using it now: protect one hour a week that is only for your own learning or healing. A guide who keeps growing guides better.

Homemakers and caregivers

The fourth reading was for homemakers and caregivers, who so often go unseen. In this reading I called them the Queen of Emotions: you have come into this world to heal yourself, balance your emotions and help others heal too. You have come with a bigger purpose. Running a home and caring for others is work, and it deserves the same respect as any job.

Using it now: at the end of each day, name one thing you did for yourself, however small. If there is nothing, that is your sign to start. If caring for someone is exhausting you, please reach out for practical help too; you don't have to do it alone.

Students and seekers

The last part was for students and seekers. Studies and training work best when they are aligned with your inner energy and with the astrological and numerological blueprint you were born with. Success depends a great deal on how we shape our energy and align our actions, our karma, with it.

Using it now: notice when in the day you learn best, and protect that time for your hardest subject. If you are curious about your blueprint, my post on life path number calculation is a simple place to begin, and tarot or astrology explains which tool suits which question.

What these readings are not

These are collective readings for a type of role, not a reading of your personal chart or situation. They don't replace career counselling, financial or legal advice, or medical care. Use them as a mirror, and trust your own judgement.
